Grassroots Republican Caucuses to Take Place February 13th

Published by admin under Uncategorized

The Washington State Republican Party has set the date for the grassroots Republican caucuses to take place on February 13th. This is the time for Republicans in the precinct to share their concerns and send them to the county convention with the representative they elect at the caucus.

The Democrats have elected to do away with their caucuses this coming year so far, according to Democratic State Chairman Dwight Pelz. This fits with their current national centralizing of power with the appointed czars taking power from the people and giving it to an unelected few, an oligarchy, or “rule of the few.” All people who would like to continue the republic that we were set up to be are welcome to join the Republican Party and take part in our caucus in February.

Sean Salazar, Mike Newman Met Voters at August Salmon BBQ; Herb Meyer Spoke on Revolution

Herb Meyer

How refreshing to hear some common-sense solutions to health care and to budget crisis issues from US Senate candidate Sean Salazar and Washington 40th Legislative House candidate Mike Newman. Over 160 people came August 22nd, on a wonderful Saturday afternoon, to enjoy good food and to hear some alternative solutions to state and nation problems. Herb Meyer spoke on the revolution that has taken place under our noses, and the need to throw it out before it changes our nation’s government.

Mike Newman stated that the band-aid and fund switching the current legislators did to patch up this year’s budget just put off the problem of fixing it. Hard decisions need to be made, and the current group of legislators seem unable to make them. Somehow, our state needs to fulfill its mandate to fund education first and to make the rest work, without taxing the people beyond the ability to live here.

Cindy’s Picks Fall 2009

Published by admin under Uncategorized

16th of October. While there are not any nation-wide or state-wide offices up for election, this is still a very important election, with many pivotal issues up for a vote. So PLEASE VOTE!!!! Beginning with:

I-1033 – YES!!!!This Initiative allows government growth at a reasonable rate….tied to population growth and inflation, it restrains government to reasonable expansion. This initiative also closes the loophole that government officials have used to get around the limited taxes…..FEES. This initiative limits the amount of REVENUE the government can collect, and restores it to the people if the revenue exceeds the allowed growth rate. This is a wonderful bill and needs our support Vote to enact this into law….YES!!!!

Referendum 71 – REJECT!!!!This referendum allows the people of the state to reject a bill (SB 5688) passed into law last spring, giving benefits to homosexual couples. This is beyond rights. Homosexual couples have already received equal rights with married people in regard to hospital visitations etc. Now they want the cash. On page 16 of the Voter’s pamplet, it explains all the wages and benefits the “partners” would receive from the state for disability or workers comp or insurance policies etc. The fiscal impact statement lists state costs at over $3.6 million over 5 years for worker’s comp, and pension survivor benefits.
The state has a duty to encourage the most stable families for the good of civil society. Homosexual couples have proven they are very unstable with their “divorce” rates exceeding that of male/female marriages by over 50%. This law undermines the state’s ability to encourage heterosexual marriages which encourage stability for our generation and future generations. SB 5688 is a bad bill …REJECT

San Juan County Seeks to Raise Taxes

Published by admin under Newsletter

The San Juan County Council is seeking to raise your taxes by asking for a levy lift on the ballot this fall.
Citizens’ Alliance for Property Rights has come up with a reply to them, which is reprinted here with their
permission. Please let your friends, neighbors, and acquaintances know about this.

Levy Lift bullet points

• No other County is asking for a levy lift.

San Juan is the only county in Washington State that cannot live within its means. The Secretary of State’s office reported that San Juan might be the first County in Washington to raise property taxes with a levy lift and said that San Juan County is on the “cutting edge of tax increases. ” http://wei.secstate.wa.gov/HELP/Internal/Pages/WEICountyOVGs.aspx

Crying “No taxation without representation,” he instigated the Stamp Act riots and the Boston Tea Party.

After the “Boston Massacre,” he spread Revolutionary sentiment with his Committees of Correspondence.

Murray/Cantwell Vote to Build Unwanted Planes

Published by Cindy under Uncategorized

Instead of voting to support our troops in ways that are needed, Senators Murray and Cantwell voted to make the Pentagon take 10 Boeing C-17 Cargo planes that they don’t need just to keep the unions at Boeing happy. (HR 3326…a NO vote was to keep funding for the planes in the bill instead of transferring it to our troops: they both voted NO) Politics ahead of what our troops need? Murray and Cantwell need to go. Playing games with money and votes ahead of caring for our troops is unacceptable. Vote Murray out of office next year.
