Secretary Kim Wyman on her battle with colon cancer

We received today dire news about one of our state’s only Republican Washington State office holders, Secretary of State Kim Wyman. Our sincerest prayers go out to her and her family during this difficult ordeal. Many of us have family and friends who have suffered from cancer, or ourselves struggle with it, but we recognize the special burden of coping with the high stress life of public service that Secretary Wyman must deal with in addition to her health challenges. We extend to her our most heartfelt condolences and ask all members of our county and state to pray for her.… Click Here to Read More

Barry is one of those people who would cheerfully give the shirt off his back to anybody in need no matter their creed. We all know liberals with no sense of humor determined to believe the worst about anything that is said, so I want to point out that the “gun” is not aimed at anyone. I don’t want to see any paranoid letters to the editor in the paper over this.  Representative Rick Larsen recently visited Friday Harbor on 3/26/2017, in this guest… Click Here to Read More

Orcas Republicans and Conservatives enjoyed a great turnout and speeches given by County Chairman Nathan Butler and Guest Speaker Herb Meyer at the 2017 Lincoln Day Dinner. Cindy Carter put together a tasty chili dog lunch with the help of many hands. Her double chocolate desserts were very popular. Rick Boucher MC’d the event and Janis Ghazel blessed us with a fabulous rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” and later with a stirring “God Bless the USA.” The highlight if the luncheon was Herb Meyer. Herb’s talk on “The Second Civil War” oriented on the “change” progressives want to work… Click Here to Read More

Greetings Conservatives!  As some of you may know from our Central Committee meetings, one of our goals this term is to publish more original work by conservatives in our county. For one thing, if you have no idea what the “Central Committee” is, you will find answers. Even long term conservatives often are unsure of what a PCO is, or who the members of the Executive Board are, and any number of similar questions. Many of these questions are answered. We also have articles on immigration, SJC Hospital District #1, and Community Treasures. There is a mix of news and opinion,… Click Here to Read More
