LWV Forum Mon Oct 7th 5:30-7:30PM at Brickworks

The League of Women Voters of the San Juans is holding voter forums for the public.

The San Juan Island Forum will take place on Monday, October 7th from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Brickworks on Sunshine Alley.  Come and listen to the candidates and positions. Contested positions/seats are as follows:

Proposition 1-Charter Amendment
Town of Friday Harbor Council Member #4
Port of Friday Harbor Commissioner #1
San Juan Island Park & Rec District Commissioner #3
San Juan County Public Hospital District Commissioner #1

Lopez Island — Thursday, Oct. 10, Grace Episcopal Church, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Contested positions or seats:
— Proposition 1, Charter Amendment
— Solid Waste one-year tax levy
— Lopez Island School District No. 144 — School Board Directors No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4
— San Juan County Fire Protection District #4 — Fire commission, position No. 1
— Port of Lopez — Port Commission, position No. 3

Orcas Island — Monday, Oct. 14, Eastsound Fire Hall, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Contested positions or seats:
—Proposition 1- Charter Amendment
— (The LWV-SJ forum on the Charter Amendment will be followed by an Orcas PTSA School Board Directors forum, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.)
