Over the weekend our State Committee Man, State Committee Woman, and Vice-chair attended state meetings in Ellensburg. We hear that the folks at state missed Michelle Loftus, who has long carried influence there, but we have no doubt that our new team will represent us well. Michelle stepped down this term because of scheduling issues.
In an email from the state the results of the party officers election was announced:
“The Washington State Republican Party (WSRP), meeting this afternoon in Ellensburg, re-elected Susan Hutchison as Chairman for another two-year term through January 2019. ‘We will continue to build on our successes of the last four years with a great team at the state party,’ Chairman Hutchison said.
“The WSRP also adopted organizational by-laws, elected members to serve on its Executive Board for the next two years, and elected Grant Peterson as Vice Chairman. Peterson, from Stevens County, was Director of Emergency Management in the Reagan administration and is retired U.S. Air Force.”
More information can be found at https://wsrp.org/. Susan has long served us well, and is both long-suffering and hard working.
We look forward to hearing more about it at our Central Committee Meeting this Saturday, Feb 4th, at Heritage Bank. More info here.
