I attended the Restoring Honor event in Washington, DC on 8/28. An inspirational and tiring experience. Packed Subways, Heat/Humidity and packed crowds met us at every turn.
We started off to catch METRO at 7AM hoping to just get there in time. Standing up in the subway car, I discussed the exciting day ahead with a Czech Republic guy from Philly on one side and a native Maryland fellow on the other.
Exiting METRO at Foggy Bottom we walked to the Lincoln Memorial arriving 25 minutes late. The crowd walked with us. It was “Move-In” day for George Washington University so the streets were crowded with parents/students unloading dorm rooms from cars. Continue Reading »

Special thanks to Richard and Jenny Ledford who set up the Republican booth at the San Juan County Fair this year. Many people stopped by to share their concerns about the direction our nation is headed, and the incredible deficit that this current administration is running up. Amazingly some delusional people still think it is the previous adminstration’s fault. Here is a graph of the deficits for both adminstrations.

It appears that the Democrats are trying to pull a fast one. If you saw Wednesday, April 28th’s Glen Beck on Fox News, then you know about this. The House of Reps is today, April 29th, voting on a bill that would attempt to make Puerto Rico the 51st state. From my understanding, this bill, once passed by both houses, would require Puerto Rico to have a vote on whether or not Puerto Ricans are happy with the political status quo. If a majority of them say no, a second vote will require them to vote one of three ways, the historically most popular among them being statehood. Why are they doing this? It is assumed that if Puerto Rico becomes a state that it will vote democrat. As a state, it will get two senators and six or seven representatives in the House out in D.C. It would appear that dems are trying to strengthen their numbers.
