from Judy at Paideia . . .
Hi Friends,

THIS FRIDAY, NOV. 16th at 12:45 pm is Paideia’s Annual John Linde Memorial Speech Meet.
Students in grades 3 – 8 will present poems or speeches in a competition that will be judged by several community members.
This year’s theme is PATRIOTISM.
The children always do an incredible job and I promise you will not be disappointed if you are able to attend.
The meet usually lasts about an hour or so.
Please feel free to invite anyone else you think could use a good dose of “patriotism” right now.
Hope to see you there!

Unsurprisingly, the US remains the paragon of dog love, with the world’s biggest pet pooch population in both absolute and per capita terms (one dog for every four Americans). But elsewhere, dogs are on the rise, and the rapid changes in the extent and nature of ownership reflect new economic realities. Our policy experts traveled the state speaking to media, community associations, chambers of commerce, students, and other groups about the ballot measures.

This year, we took positions on four important ballot measures that reflected our longstanding policy recommendations. I’m happy to report that we prevailed on all four measures. Continued
