ObamaCare 2016: Happy Yet?

The website problems were finally solved. But the doctor shortage is a nightmare……

Bradley Allen  Oct. 22, 2013

Three years after the disastrous launch of the Affordable Care Act, most of the website troubles finally have been ironed out. People are now able to log on to the government’s ACA website and to most of the state health-insurance exchanges. The public has grudgingly come to accept higher insurance premiums, new taxes and increases in part-time workers who were formerly full-time. But Americans are irate anyway—because now they’re seeing the health-care law’s destructive effect on the fundamental nature of the way their care is delivered.

Even before the ACA’s launch in 2013, many physicians—seeing the changes in their profession that lay ahead—had begun talking their children out of going to medical school. After the launch, compensation fell, while nothing in the ACA stopped lawsuits and malpractice premiums from rising. Doctors must now see many more patients each day to meet expenses, all while dealing with the mountains of paperwork mandated by the health-care law. Continued

The Government is Open but is it Working?

What a disappointment that our leaders did not curb spending, raised the Debt Limit, funded a disastrous Obamacare and gave Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell(R) his 2.9 billion dollar dam.Don’t forget this. Our country’s economy and healthcare will suffer but Kentucky has a new dam.Dam.

Remember those republicans that did not stand up and bargain well. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul’s brave attempt to take on the establishment should stick in your memory as you are changing your health insurance and doctor preference.Or maybe you’ll think of McConnell’s dam while you are limiting your employees to 29 hours.Dam.

It sickens me that we went through this and ended up in a worse condition than we started. Our nation needs new leaders. Don’t think the Dems are pleased either. They won’t like the Obamacare disaster or bad economy when it crashes. Just think about it and welcome the Dems to talk about how to curb spending, limit government and protect our healthcare post Obamacare. For now sit back and watch the entitlement mentality soak up their victory.Ugh. Maybe at least the bottom of the trough is close.Dam.

Did you know there are Washington municipalities keeping marijuana stores out? Contact our County Council and Town Council. Let them know we don’t want marijuana stores here. If this community can keep a Subway Sandwich Store out surely there are enough people to stand up and keep a marijuana store out.

“Republicans should continue to stand with working people against Obamacare”

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released the following statement regarding Obamacare and the debate over government funding and the debt ceiling:

“The American people don’t want Obamacare, and they don’t want more debt. The American people did not rally across the nation in August and September, sign petitions by the millions, and shut down the congressional switchboard to now be left out of deals being negotiated in backrooms.

“Republicans in Washington — who control the House of Representatives and 46 seats in the Senate — should continue to stand with working people against Obamacare. Democrats are refusing to negotiate and refusing to compromise; their position is patently unreasonable, and we should emphatically make that case to the American people.

“House Republicans have heroically led this fight, and they should stand firm. Patience and courage and persistence is required, and will not come from the permanent beltway class.

“So-called grand bargains historically have been neither grand nor a bargain — typically resulting in more debt, more spending, and more government.

“The American people expect their government to function — and we can ensure that right now. We can fund our essential priorities and commit to paying our debt first, even while opposing Obamacare.

“The people want jobs and strong economic growth back, and Obamacare is a major impediment to both. As long as we keep listening to the people and fighting for jobs and prosperity, Republicans will win this debate.”
