San Juan County Republican Convention will begin 8:30 AM Saturday March 24th at the Grange on San Juan Island.

Delegates chosen and vetted will vote to elect State Convention Delegates for May 30,June 1,2 Convention in Tacoma. Platform is presently being developed from precinct caucus input. We will discuss and decide which platform statements to send to state.We should spend a few hours working toward these goals and then have lunch before heading for the ferry.Please call if I can answer any questions, Michelle Loftus 378-4738.

San Juan County Republican Caucus Straw Poll Results March 3, 2012

San Juan County Republicans turned out in great numbers today.Our Presidential Straw Poll Results:

Mitt Romney won with 62 votes

Ron Paul came in second with 56 votes

Rick Santorum was third with 52 votes

Newt Gingrich was fourth with 48 votes

Many undecided votes and a few write-ins

Come help us elect delegates to county convention and develop platform. We will be shaping our party from the grassroots level. We do have a conservative influence in our county. Help us to be heard. Help us provide our county with a quality way of life with freedoms dictated by our Constitution.Come to Caucus.

These Precinct Caucuses will be determined by the old precinct boundaries. Redistricting will not take effect until State Convention.

If you need help determining which precinct caucus to attend call the county elections office 378-3357. You may also contact your PCO as listed on this website. If I can help, call me-Michelle 298-1843.It is pretty easy actually. All San Juan Precincts will meet at the Grange in Friday Harbor. All Lopez Precincts will meet at Woodmen Hall. Shaw precinct will meet at the Rawls Home. Last but not least there are two meeting places on Orcas-the Firehall on Lavender and the American Legion on Crescent Beach. Orcas participants call Cindy Carter 376-2187 if you have questions.Come to Caucus!

Lincoln Day Events a Success!

What a great day we enjoyed! Breakfast on Orcas and Lunch on Lopez. Speakers Herb Meyer and Fredi Simpson were very dynamic. We came away encouraged and ready for work. Thanks to all who volunteered their time and skills. Special thanks to Cindy Carter and Darlene Demetrick for leading.
